Cleaning your Watch: Models rated to 1000 ft water resistance: • Ocean 1 • GMT Ocean 1 • Mach 1 First make sure crown and pushers, if so equipped, are screwed into the case to maintain water resistance. Items needed are a soft bristle tooth brush, mild dish soap, luke warm water, and a soft towel for drying. Cleaning steps: 1. Rinse the watch, apply dish soap to the brush and clean entire surface of the case and bracelet. 2. Then rinse the watch using luke warm water. Do not use hot. 3. While rinsing, give the rotating bezel, if so equipped, a few turns to help loosen any debris between the bezel and case. 4. Then dry the watch with a soft towel. Models rated to 5 ATM water resistance 185 ft with push in crown and pushers, if so equipped. This includes all hand wind models and that World Traveler watch. This level of water resistance is for general usage where the watch may be exposed to swimming, splashing caused by rain, hand washing etc. but not scuba diving. Cleaning steps: 1. Suggest cleaning method is a damp cloth with a slight amount of mild dish soap applied. 2. Clean the watch then remove the soap with a clean damp cloth. 3. Dry the watch with a soft cloth. All watches should have their water resistance checked annually by a qualified technician. |
