"I'm not sure how to start a review though I do enjoy reading them myself and that is partly how I found your company. I read and saw pictures of the Triton. The reviewer had purchase a SS band from Australia that looked great. Not that the rubber strap doesn't look great. I love the fact that it is nice and thick, beefy even. Same with the buckle. It's an awesome looking watch. The first watch I received seemed to have a couple of scratches or manufacturing marks around the outer edge of the bezel. The bezel was also loose in that it could be moved up and down slightly and had a sounding rattle to it if you tapped it. I talked to Elsa and she said it was no problem to exchange for another. I asked if I could pick it up in person as I planned to be in Tampa and she put me in touch with your watchsmith, Mr Johnson if I remember correctly. He had another Triton waiting for me, in addition to the shark strap that I was purchasing. By the way, I was not charged for that strap and have yet to thank anybody. I apologize for that. From the beginning I received nothing but the best communication from Elsa with regard to questions, ordering, delivery and exchanging. Your Mr Johnson was also most pleasant and helpful. I LOVE the size and weight of the Triton. I do wish it had more luminescence. I remember seeing it and it seemed have quite a nice glow. I've worn the watch a couple of times with the rubber strap and once someone asked me about it. I was happy tell them about Debaufre. I have since purchased an aftermarket SS band online. It's a good look but I can tell that it wasn't really made for the Triton as the endlinks are straight and aren't up tight against the case. Perhaps one day you will offer a SS band to match. Anyway, I am very rough on watches as with everything else (shoes, sunglasses, etc) so I tend to not wear the Triton as much as I'd like. I really don't want to hit sopmething with it or scratch it. Maybe that's just new watch syndrome LOL. For the time being, I wear my Seiko diver with a Maratac silicone band at work. I can knock it around and not worry too much. So for a review, I love my watch and the dealings that I've had with your company. Is there anything else that that I left out? My next purchase I think will be the Csar which I heard you modeled on the website. You had the only one a few weeks ago! Thank you." Rob Lauderdale |
