Meet Jeff Altenburg - the 2007 Speed World Challenge Touring Champion - and... he wears the Debaufre GMT watch.

Jeff Altenburg is the winner of 15 National Championships. Jeff began racing in 1985. Starting out auto-crossing, he worked his way up through the club racing ranks, moved on to various pro racing series, and has made his mark in the Trans-Am, World Challenge and American Le Mans Series.

With three Pro Racing Championships, two Valvoline Runoffs Championships, and ten Pro Solo and Solo II Championships, Jeff has proven his ability to win at any level.

1999: Jeff gives the Chevrolet Corvette C5 it's first ever National Championship at the Valvoline Runoffs driving for Joe Aquilante's Phoenix American Motorsports Team. John Heinricy works with Jeff Altenburg to engineer the race setup for the victory.

2000: Jeff is on the podium in his Trans Am debut. He goes on to win Rookie Of The Year with 4 podiums and 6 top fives finishing 3rd in the Driver’s Championship. 35 car average field size in 2000.

2001: Jeff drives for a variety of teams in the American Le Mans Series, Grand Am, Grand Am Cup, and World Challenge Series. Five times, Jeff stands on the podium. Twice making it to the top step.

Driving such a wide variety of cars and, more often than not, being in contention, catches the attention of Le Mans Racer Magazine who features an article about Jeff Altenburg.

2001: Jeff raced in the following Race Cars: Viper GTSR, Porsche GT3RS, LMGT Corvette C5R, WC BMW M3, WC Acura Integra Type R, GAC Corvette Z06, GAC BMW Z3 Coupe.

2002: he drives this Viper GTSR in selected American Le Mans races. Jeff is also signed mid-season to drive the Factory Mazda Protégé in the Speed World Challenge Series.

2003: Jeff Altenburg returns with the Mazda Factory Team in the Speed World Challenge Touring Car Series. Jeff wins once and finishes second three times. Jeff also drives the Carsport America Viper GTSR and the Powell Motorsport Corvette Z06.

2004: Jeff is in his third year with Mazda's factory team, Jeff is given the task of developing the Mazda 6 Touring Car in the heat of the regular season. It all comes together at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with the first professional win for the Mazda 6.

2007: Jeff Altenburg is in his fifth full season with Mazda's Factory Touring Car Team, Jeff wins the Driver's Championship with 3 poles, 2 wins and 5 podiums.

2008: Jeff Altenburg signs with DRC Motorsports driving the custom built Lexus IS 350 race car. 2008 is a development year for Jeff Altenburg and the team at DRC Motorsports. In October DRC Motorsports and Debaufre Watches partner to unite racing and time-keeping.

An interesting fact about Jeff Altenburg is that he is a graduate of the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL.
