Truly a stunning watch to behold... E-mail

"Well, where to begin? I think a little background first. I no longer dive, but did so for many years, on shipwrecks in the Great Lakes. During those years, I developed a real appreciation for rugged, reliable equipment. I also learned to appreciate a good solid dive watch. Even though I no longer blow bubbles underwater, I still enjoy the robust build of a good dive watch and have a modest collection of divers.

The black dial Debaufre Triton is my latest acquisition and one of my favorites. The Triton is truly a stunning watch to behold. It is beautiful! Everything about the Triton screams quality. The crown moves smoothly and surely. There is none of the binding or grittiness I've found in watches of similarly price. The uni-directional bezel moves smoothly but firmly. There is no play in the operation of the bezel and it is unlikely to move if bumped or comes in contact with a neoprene wetsuit.

Very important to me was always the ease of readability of the dial. The white hands show up nicely on the black dial. The orange numerals on the dial make the Triton an attractive daily-wear sport watch as well. The Triton comes on the thickest and most comfortable strap I've ever experienced. If I could change anything about this watch, I would make the markings on the bezel bigger and bolder. The bezel is a brushed stainless steel and the black markings look a bit faint and small to my old eyes. Other than this small point, I think the Triton would serve the needs of all desk divers and many real divers as well. I hope my brief review was helpful." Mr. Bill
