"Well Jon, as a very young child I was fascinated with watches: wore a wind-up on both wrists! While I couldn't exactly define the reasons for my fascination then, I can tell you that the spirit has been rekindled with the Nav-B. It's probably the same proportion to my then small wrist but never -the- less looks like it belongs here.
This watch is a purely functional timepiece. It looks like a simple instrument that measures the passing of time: numbers and hands are highly visible with black and white contrast, the steel case has substantial heft and the leather strap adds to the intended durability. The Unitas 6497 beats a steady rhythm of mechanical sounds and possesses a nostalgic appeal that can only be appreciated by one who sees the watch as more than a watch... if that makes sense. The combined features possess a certain harmonious and unmistakeable beauty. Very well done!" Bruce P.
