Today marks the first day of the 2008 Petit LeMans Race in Atlanta, GA. A day to get settled in and a day filled with test laps. Alldaron, VP Debaufre, traveled to Atlanta to meet with Jeff Altenburg and the team of DRC Motorsports. Debaufre Watches is an official sponsor of DRC Motorsports and Jeff Altenburg. Alldaron presented the entire team with Debaufre Le Mans watches, much to the surprise of the team members. Alldaron received an all-access pass for the speedway and emailed us some photos and short videos taken at the track during a test lap pit stop (notice the Debaufre crest on the car’s hood).

Jeff Altenburg, of Ellicott City, Md., collected his first SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Championship in 2007 thanks to an impeccable record. Running with MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development MAZDA6, he kicked off the season with back-to-back wins from pole, collected a third pole at Mid-Ohio and finished every race in the top 10. And... Jeff Altenburg wears the Debaufre GMT watch.

We are about to receive 40 of the redesigned Triton watches with optional all stainless steel bracelet, priced at $725. The standard rubber strap version is priced at $625 and will be available in the next few days. The crown is slightly larger while the crown-guards have been made slightly smaller. The dial as well as the bezel have been updated. This is the new ad running in WatchTime magazine in Nov/Dec.

This week we released the new 44-mm Nav-B Flieger Pilot watch powered by either an ETA 2824-2 automatic movement or an Unitas 6497 hand-wind movement. The much requested watches have finally been realized, however due to the current Swiss Movement Shortage situation, we only have 25 of each en-route. The price is set at $575. You can already purchase the 44-mm Automatic ETA version and the 44-mm Hand-wind Unitas version in our online store and the watch will ship as soon as they arrive, we’re expecting them within the next two to three weeks.

This is the limited edition skeleton watch called the Esqueleto Art Deco, and there are only 20 pieces available (update: less than 10 remain), boy they are so beautiful! The movement is handcrafted, they are quite difficult to obtain, due to the time and cost it takes to manufacture them, the company only produces a select number every year. This has been in the works for months, and it was worth the wait.

We have received 2 prototype watches of our new 44-mm GMT watch. We have sent these watches out to be tested and inspected by two watch-forum members. Depending on their analysis and recommendation, we will launch this 44-mm GMT into production to be in stock in Fall.

Just in, the Debaufre key-chains which are produced from the same leather as our exquisite leather straps. They are a wonderful gift at $25, manufactured by leather company legend Rios 1931. They will be added to the store in the next few days.

Update to the Ocean-1 Classic watch. We are changing the movement used in the Ocean-1 Classic to the Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement. We have 30 watches en route (estimated arrival date is June 20th). The case of the Ocean-1 Classic is 42-mm but the dial has a distinctively different design than the standard Ocean-1 in that it uses larger markers. Check out the upgraded Ocean-1 Classic.
